For Our Real Clean Environment is a charitable trust aiming to empower our Whangārei communities to restore the natural environment through environmental and waste minimisation projects.
We run the Love Whangārei Monthly Clean Up which brings together volunteers to remove waste from the environment.
Our vision for the future is to support more solutions to waste which view it as a resource.

We run two monthly events; the Love Whangārei Monthly Clean Up and Repair Cafe Whangārei.
We welcome new volunteers and supporters of all kinds.

Love Whangārei Monthly Clean Up
Every month volunteers come together to remove waste from the environment. Fly tipping and general litter are removed to protect wildlife and restore a clean environment.
Repair Cafe Whangārei
The Repair Cafe Whangārei runs on the third Saturday every month at Reyburn House Studio.
These events are held to support the community to repair items instead of sending them to landfill. Volunteers with skills in sewing, electronics, mechanics, carpentry, technology and more work alongside the community to repair their items.
We are also seeking volunteers to help with organising, advertising, baking, repairing and more. Sign up here.

Our story
The trust was formed in mid 2018 to expand on the success of the Love Whangārei Monthly Clean Up which started in September 2017.
Our founders Karen Lee and Nicholas Connop have a passion for getting stuck in and making a positive impact for our communities and environment.
We now have 5 Trustees and look forward to what the future holds.
